Domestic Frustrations

I hate the egg eggstractor! It never works for me -- unless I practically throw myself on top of it. But then I have a hard boiled egg flying across the kitchen with the bits of shell still left on scattering all over my clean kitchen floor!

Thank you for reading this quality danae broadcasting moment! Now that I vented going back to finish making potato salad.

  1. awww *hugs*

    Master's little pet

  2. One of the very few Martha's that I ever watched had an easy way to peel hard boiled eggs. I will see if I can google the answer.

Did you ever get the Pasta Express? If you did, how well does it work?

    Love you, miss you

  3. Thank you. Thank you for answering a question that has been plaguing me since I saw the first infomercial for the egg extractor. I've been wanting to know if it really works. Sounds like I'm just better off peeling the evil things manually as usual.

  4. If you drain off the hot water and cover the eggs with cold water after the cooking is done, it causes the egg to contract away from the shell (making it easier to peel.

Also, make sure your eggs are at least a week old before boiling them - fresh eggs don't peel as easily.
